A BETTER GARMENT & THE BEST VALUE
While made-to-measure, semi- custom, and mass production techniques used by 99% of all clothiers and tailor shops have become the norm; McMahan's focus is to always produce a better garment, delivered with better service and the best value in the industry.
Incredible attention is paid to every detail and the finish of each suit.
Therefore, we have taken the liberty to point out some of the finer details of our garments, which may escape the untrained eye. Each and every coat, trouser and vest begin with a hand- drawn pattern created specifically for you. After hand cutting the fabric our master tailors invest hours to complete what is known as the best in custom clothing; a hand-made garment.
SURGEON CUFFS(WORKING BUTTIONSHOLES)
Stitching the button holes by hand is one of the details that is synonymous with the elegance and sophistication of a tailor made suit. Our buttonholes are sewn by hand and stitched over a gimp that is placed around the opening of the buttonhole. It results in a raised affect that provides a custom and masculine appearance. Surgeon cuffs refer to the functioning buttonholes found on all jacket sleeves. The name "Surgeon Cuffs" stems from the time when surgeons would operate in frock coats and would roll back the sleeves when operating. Today working buttonholes have become a sign of fine custom tailoring.
